This ice melter is a blend of sodium chloride and magnesium chloride to ensure ice melts fast. Corrosion inhibitors reduce damage to metal. Won't harm skin. No need for goggles and gloves and it is safe for people, pets and plants when used as directed. Melts down to -7 degrees Fahrenheit/-21 degrees Celsius. Safer when used as directed on air-entrained, cold-weather concrete that is at least 1 year old. Use 1 cup (10 ounces) of ice melt per square yard and spread evenly, avoiding piling or overspreading. Remove resulting slush. Reapply ice melt as needed.
